Gum disease ‘linkedto heart problems’

A study from the University of Bristol has found that brushing teeth could prevent heart attacks by stopping dangerous bacteria entering the bloodstream.
Professor Howard Jenkinson, who led the study, said: “We now recognise that bacterial infections are an independent risk factor for heart diseases.”
